Ust-Luga hopes to take over part of Rosneft river oil pdt shipments
UST-LUGA, Leningrad Region, Feb 26 (PRIME) – The port of Ust-Luga plans to accumulate and load into maritime tankers about 700,000–800,000 tonnes of oil products of oil major Rosneft that the company now transports via rivers, Ust-Luga Oil’s CEO Konstantin Khamlai told reporters on Monday.
“We are holding negotiations with Rosneft about signing a long-term contract for 2–3 years. We are looking for a symbiosis that would satisfy both sides. We hope that it will comprise a river part that would allow us to take the cargo that goes via the river,” he said.
The port of Ust-Luga is able to reload about 700,000–800,000 tonnes of Rosneft’s oil products that the company is now transporting via rivers, and the port may implement the project already in 2018. “We need decisions of companies and an agreement on the price,” he said.
